Hello & Goodbye & My Moonflower Future

So, I was standing precariously on the edge of a chair straining to get a good picture of some rosemary honey butter I had made and artfully displayed in a flower shaped cup on the kitchen table for my blog, when I had a revelation: wtf am I doing?

Well, that, and the fact that I have a production company to run, films to write and produce, places to go, dishes to do, a litter box to clean, etc, has led me to the unfortunate, or perhaps fortunate decision to stop blogging. I really don't have time for it anymore. I don't think I was a good blogger anyway, judging by the sporadic nature of my posts.

Alas, my presence on the internet shall not be lost. I've finally finished the official Moonflower Pictures website, which can be found at:, so all updates regarding what I'm actually doing creatively will (eventually) be found there!

P.S. I'm also still on Pinterest and Instagram
P.P.S. If you are a producer (or filmmaker), we are currently looking for new additions to the Moonflower Pictures team! Check out the website and shoot me an e-mail!

I'm happy to tell you all: I just got an internship with Jemma Swatek, head designer of Lykke Wullf, a new eco-friendly line of handmade clothing (dresses/t-shirts coming soon)! I will be taking some photos for her and handling her social media. I will keep you all posted on here, and on the Lykke Wullf blog which I will now be moderating. The website will be up by the end of this month! Here are some photos from the 1st Lykke Wullf // Pendleton collection of swoon-worthy capes, jackets, vests, and the cutest clutches:

Top 3 Tasteful Holiday Gift Guides for Everyone!

1. What to give Your True Love - Catbird

I'm in the process of deciding how I should nonchalantly get my boyfriend to look at this list because IT IS FILLED WITH PERFECT STUFF THAT I WANT OH SO BADLY. Seriously though, Catbird is my go-to website for everyday jewelry and other pretty little things, and this year they have a great gift list for guys too! I really don't know which I would like more, the Bittersweets NY teensy diamond rings, the Catbird Baguette diamond ring, the Arrow Necklace on long chain, the Watchful Mermaid scrimshaw box, the Emerald Elfin studs, or the gorgeous Hortense necklace in white gold, Oof! So good.

2. Gifts for Guys That Don't Suck - Urban Outfitters

If you are lucky enough to snag a man who will actually buy you something from Catbird, or make you something special and thoughtful for the holidays (not every guy can drop 800 dollars on a diamond necklace) reward his efforts with something from this list! Urban outfitters is a bit hit or miss these days, and this list isn't necessarily 'tasteful', but there are a few items on here that I know my boyfriend would dig, and probably yours too. There's the Vivitar V3800-50 SLR 35mm Camera, the Vintage M65 Field Jacket (dudes love military jackets), the TDK Belt Drive Turntable, the Herschel Little America Backpack, and the Timex Leather Easy Reader Watch (UO has a decent collection of more expensive watches too, like the Braun Date Watch).

3. Warm & Cozy - Anthropologie

This is a great list for stylish moms, aunts, teachers and all the other fabulous women in our lives who work hard for us everyday. My mom has had a pretty extensive Anthropologie wish list for the past several holiday seasons, and I am fairly positive she would want just about EVERYTHING on this 'Warm&Cozy' list, so I'll just mention a few items that I think are particularly perfect......Never mind, I just tried to choose my favorites and I really couldn't, this list is too good, just take my word for it and check it out for yourself.

Honorable mention goes to:
Anthropologie's "For the Kids" list (another list that is too perfect to choose favorites from)
and pretty much all the other lists on Catbird.

November Style: 3 Unique Looks for 3 Unique Ladies

The Artist.

Layer a delicate dress with sheer panels (that were oh-so-popular this spring) over your favorite patterned sweater for a fun look that will still keep you toasty and warm.

Make a statement with chunky creepers in a bold pattern, and a playful purse.

Don't forget your binoculars for your voyeuristic tendencies, and a hand-bound leather journal to sketch in.

The Activist.

It's election time! Pair a vintage button-up blouse and skirt with a proper hat, and your favorite pair of Docs to show off your style while staying comfy-cozy in that endless voting line!

Spice it up with a Beatles pin!

Add a classy woven hat and pair of Docs!

And don't forget your leftover halloween candy, a notebook to keep track of your ~*revolutionary*~ ideas, and an eco-friendly bottle of filtered tap water ;)

The Student.

November is the perfect time to play with plaid! (excuse my alliteration) But seriously, try a scholarly all-plaid ensemble, start with a plaid blazer, build from there, and pair it with a graphic tote bag and your favorite pair of desert boots!

Sometimes high-end designers make affordable accessories like this Kurt Cobain tote bag by Rodarte , which makes a great book bag.

Try using a bright patterned make-up bag as a pencil case!

*UPDATE: The video is finished and it is fabulous!

It is my absolute delight to inform you that Moonflower Pictures' very first music video is now in post-production! After months of hard work in pre-production and on set, we have made it to the final and dubious task of editing!

Because I love you, I am posting an exclusive sneak peek at some stills from the video! I must say, I am actually not extremely embarrassed by my work this time! This will be the official debut of my production design and costume design work for film, and let me tell you, it was harder than I expected, but very rewarding, and I daresay addicting! The band we have worked so hard for is an up-and-coming band called Bright Beast. The track is called "War Paint" and you can listen to it by clicking their album cover pictured below!

Now for the stills:
